Labyrinth – David Bowie

Labyrinth_ver2Labyrinth with David Bowie was about “A selfish 16-year old girl is given 13 hours to solve a labyrinth and rescue her baby brother when her wish for him to be taken away is granted by the Goblin King.”*   This was a great musical released in 1986.  It was the first time I remember a musician being a major character in a movie. I could be wrong but this was a movie that my daughter loved and we watched it on VHS over and over again.  Even for 1986 it had some great visual affects and a good message for kids even today.  Did you know that you can have an email that used “davidbowie.com”?  My daughter had it for a while until she didn’t want to pay for the service anymore.

This post comes about because David Bowie died yesterday.  Did not even know he was sick or has been continuously putting out music.  Bowie released his new album, “Blackstar”, on January 8th just days before his death.  The video called Lazarus seems almost like a prediction and very eerie. Here is a link to that video if you have not seen it yet

He will be greatly missed.
